School Bus Driver
JOB TITLE: School Bus Driver
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position is to transport a student from Bloomington to BNLHS during the school year.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Bus Driver
- Driver is responsible for a pretrip before each route. The driver will check for
leaks and irregularities related to the safe transporting of student riders. - Driver is responsible for a posttrip after each route. The driver will check to make certain all students are off the bus. Drivers will also disinfect their bus after the AM and PM routes.
- The Driver is guaranteed 5 (five) hours per day.
- Driver will drive a specified route.
- The Driver may be given extra duties along with the specified route.
- The Driver will contact parents with route changes.
- The Driver will keep the route sheet current.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Certification
- The Corporation Bus Driver must possess a CDL Class B with no airbrake restriction with a Public Passenger Endorsement and a School Bus Endorsement.
- The driver should also possess a yellow card (or be willing to earn a Yellow Card within 1 year).
- Pass background check
- New Hire Checklist completed
Skills
& Knowledge
- The Corporation Bus Driver must have a clean Motor Vehicle History.
- The Driver will be subjected to a PreEmployment Drug Screen.
- The Driver will be subjected to random Drug and Alcohol Screens.
- Must be able to read a map and route sheet.
- Driver must be on time.
Experience
- Experience driving a School Bus with the ability to obtain a Yellow Card.
