As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE SECTOR NETWORK platform youapply deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and crossfunctional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design development and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification ontechnical and network design conceptsand 5 years applied experience
- Minimum 5 years of Cisco network experience within the financial sector
- Proven years of experience in network products and services working with Cisco routers and switches Firewalls proxies and load balancing technologies while actively pursuing further accreditations
- Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols Expertise spanning TCPIP LAN WAN HSRP NAT MPLS VPN GRE IPSec EIGRP and OSPF is vital.
- Deep understanding of BGP and associated routing policies Knowledge of multicast concepts including IGMP RP and PIM
- Excellent knowledge of network Packet analysis and Packet Capture tools
- Working knowledge of SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN) Cisco ACI VxLAN and related technologies
- Understanding multi cloud environments and possessing knowledge of network security including standard processes
- Familiarity with load balancing technologies TCP/IP and multicast
- Proficiency in required Service Management processes with ITIL knowledge
- Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- CCNP/CCIE certification is highly desirable.
- Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies
