Job Description
We are currently hiring a fulltime Security Officer for a site in Clifton Park NY. This position offers a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. The primary schedule is Monday through Friday:00 AM 2:00 PM) totaling 40 hours per week.
An additional parttime shift may be available in the future consisting of 12hour overnight shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Reliable transportation is required as public transit may not align with shift hours. The available positions will also require a valid NYS Drivers License and applicants must be able to meet the Securitas Safe Drive program requirements as they will be utilizing a client vehicle for patrols. CPR training will be provided for some job locations if candidate does not have current certification.
Key Responsibilities: Control access to the facility and monitor vehicle dropoffs and pickups. Sit in the guard shack to oversee and manage the secure entry and exit of trucks. Conduct driving patrols throughout the property (SafeDrive certification required). Log all transactions and activities both on paper and in computer systems. Monitor for suspicious activity and ensure site policies are strictly followed. Write clear professional reports on incidents and daily activities. Handle interactions with visitors and staff including managing difficult situations. Perform a large portion of duties outdoors in varying weather conditions. Operate securityrelated technology and systems. Qualifications: Valid drivers license (must be able to pass SafeDrive certification). Strong customer service skills with the ability to enforce site rules firmly and professionally. Excellent written communication skills for report writing. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Able to remain calm and professional in highpressure or confrontational situations. Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods. Prior security experience is preferred but not required.
