Position Information: The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is seeking an Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding in their Division of Weights and Measures to work in Albany NY. The Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding performs keyboarding data entry or arrangement or various tasks involving typing into computerized systems. The incumbent may type proofread review and correct correspondence documents records and other written material; transcribe handwritten materials; make appropriate corrections for format accuracy and validity; assist in gathering or compiling data for reports graphs charts tables or other products; and may also prepare routine reports or assist others in the preparation of reports following established guidelines. The Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding G9 is a fulltime position working 37.5 hours per week MondayFriday. Salary: The starting salary for the Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding is $42641/year and the hiring salary for the CSEA salary grade (SG) 9. The candidate appointed will be eligible to participate in the New York State Performance Evaluation Program. Through this program employees receive yearly performance evaluations. Performance advances are payable to CSEA employees whose base annual salary is below the job rate for their current position and who were rated Satisfactory or its equivalent in their yearly performance evaluation. Performance advance payments are added to an employees annual salary. Over time yearly performance advances may lead to the SG9 job rate salary of $52413/year!
