Job Description
This role forms a business management link between Old Mutual Retail Mass Market (RMM) and independent brokers to ensure effective marketing and drive new business growth of Old Mutual products. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric
RE5 and Post Matric qualification advantageous
25 years sales experience within the financial/broker services (long term insurance)
Preference will be given to applicants that reside in the Vaal Gauteng South area
Own vehicle with a valid drivers license
Clear credit and criminal records
Monitor and assess sales and market data for a specific geographic region and produce reports that will assist management in formulating strategy and identifying areas in the market where business can be developed.
Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; tailor standard materials to make presentations to decisionmakers and influencers within the customer organization; and ask relevant questions to gather information to evaluate the customers level of interest and to identify and respond to areas requiring further information or explanation.
Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decisionmakers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective twoway flow of information and resolution of issues.
Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities promote the organization and enhance its reputation.
Identify the products or services that best meet the customers stated needs use personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations explain the selection to the customer and invite the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale.
Monitor team members use of the CRM system identifying and resolving standard issues and escalating them to a senior manager as appropriate.
Develop and implement a relationship management plan for existing customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decisionmakers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective twoway flow of information and resolution of issues. Collect feedback from identified customers or customer segments to ensure their needs are met providing themes summary analyses and recommendations for changes based on customer input.
Identify within the team instances of noncompliance with the organizations policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an indepth understanding of technology external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education attending conferences and reading specialist media.
