A&K Railroad Materials is a leading supplier of new and used railroad track materials. A&K has sales offices and a network of storage and distribution facilities strategically located throughout the United States. Together these offices and inventory locations maintain an extensive and comprehensive inventory of new relay and reconditioned rail and track materials across North America. Our mission is to discover and develop innovative solutions that promote lasting railway infrastructure.


Overall Career Summary:

The Executive Sales Assistant position supports the Executive Vice President of Sales who leads the North American sales efforts for A&K Railroad Materials. The successful candidates focus will be on assisting the improvement of the efficient and effective operation of the nationwide sales team. They will also be involved with creating customer solutions regarding key projects and longterm purchasing agreements. A&K offers the opportunity to learn the railroad material supply industry as well as its vast customer base in a commercial role.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative assistance such as writing and editing emails drafting memos preparing communications organize meetings scheduling and sending reminders
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Assist with creating sales presentations and proposals
  • Handle data entry into A&Ks enterprise system related to special sales opportunities
  • CRM data entry and management
  • Arrange and manage travel for the Executive Vice President of Sales
  • Work effectively with regional sales personnel regarding sales needs and business opportunities
Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook Word Excel & Power Point

Preferred Qualifications: Requirements:

  • 25 years previous experience as an administrative assistant preferably supporting CSuite executives
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and materials
  • Previous experience with ERP or other data entry systems
  • College degree other schooling or experience that is geared towards business or sales
  • Previous sales administrative experience.
