About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts manage work packages and oversee freight forwarder and carrier contracts and performance. This role requires a strong background in ground and sea shipments tariff management import/export documentation and a deep understanding of customs and international import/export regulations. The team is responsible for all finished product exportation and transportation to end customers around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts.
- Act as a Work Package Manager ensuring timely and efficient delivery of logistics projects in time and in respect of allocated budget.
- Oversee and manage freight forwarder and carrier contracts ensuring optimal performance and costeffectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all customs and international import/export regulations.
- Manage tariff classification and ensure accurate import/export documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee ground and sea shipments ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management with a strong background in ground and sea shipments.
- Indepth knowledge of customs and international import/export regulations.
- Proven experience in managing freight forwarder and carrier contracts.
- Strong understanding of tariff classification and import/export documentation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. APICS CSCMP) an asset).
