Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is looking for a scalefocused and customerobsessed System Development Engineer. Customer Experience and Business Trends is an organization made up of a diverse suite of functions dedicated to deeply understanding and improving customer experience globally. We are a team of builders that develop products services ideas and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings for almost every business at Amazon for every customer (e.g. consumers developers sellers/brands employees investors streamers gamers).
We are looking for talented System Development Engineers to develop optimized solutions to create high quality data for identifying business trends. The position requires working directly with the Amazon product and customer insights managers to contribute from Ideation to in a fast paced manner. Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects primarily in Java Python AWS web technologies setup high coding standards to ensure the quality of the delivery. Propose drive and implement technical solutions for automation efficiency and scalability. Partner with Software developers in team for handingoff or taking over active support issues provide oncall support and technical consultation to Amazon internal customers.
Key job responsibilities
Operational excellence through support of incoming tickets including extensive troubleshooting tasks with responsibilities covering multiple products features and services
Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects primarily in Java Python AWS web technologies setup high coding standards to ensure the quality of the delivery.
Software deployment support in staging and production environments.
Develop tools to automate and aid operations and maintenance.
System and Support status reporting. Propose drive and implement technical solutions for automation efficiency and scalability.
Work directly with the Amazon product and customer insights managers to contribute from Ideation to in a fast paced manner.
Work with Software developers in team for handingoff or taking over active support issues provide oncall support and technical consultation to Amazon internal customers develop automation scripts in python and internal platform similar to Selenium.
Innovate new ideas and implement to continuously improve the coverage and quality of the information.

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python Ruby Golang Java C C# Rust
Experience in automating deploying and supporting largescale infrastructure
Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Experience working in large scale software development environment
Experience in taking a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and management to collect requirements describe software product features and technical designs
