In this position

The Ford Hybrid Electric Powertrain Engineering team is looking for qualified candidates to perform powertrain calibration duties on Gasoline/Hybrid Electric applications. Ford Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations on time with efficiency and quality. Responsibilities include laboratory and in vehicle development at testing facilities in Michigan Arizona Colorado Florida and Canada.



Responsibilities

What youll do

  • Engine Drivability or Diagnostic Powertrain Calibration
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance fuel economy emissions drivability) on vehicle engine dynamometer test cells and environmental test cells.
  • Modify vehicle and powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy performance emissions drivability and diagnostics
  • Conduct vehicle testing and development in S.E. Michigan and at locations in Arizona Colorado Florida and Northern Canada
  • Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy performance emissions drivability and diagnostics
  • Review warranty data to identify emerging trends and develop corrective actions


Qualifications

Youll have...

Minimum

  • B.S. Engineering(BSME or BSEE)or related field
  • 2 years experience with Calibration Tools including ETAS and/or ATI and Matlab
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Self motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Even better if you have

Preferred

  • MSME or MSEE
  • Combustion Engine Aftertreatment Experience preferred
  • Strong statistical knowledge
  • Familiarity with Emission Regulatory Requirements Worldwide
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand Simulink flow diagrams and C programming source code

This position is a salary grade GSR 68.
