About the Role:
On behalf of our client a wellestablished and forwardthinking manufacturer we are looking to appoint an experienced Production & Scheduling Coordinator to support their growing operations team. This is a key role focused on ensuring production schedules are met resources are effectively allocated and communication between departments remains clear and consistent.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in production planning who enjoys working in a fastpaced environment and has a talent for organisation and collaboration.
Main Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production schedules in line with customer requirements and company objectives. Work closely with departments including Sales Procurement Design and Manufacturing to ensure smooth .
Interdepartmental Liaison: Maintain clear and proactive communication across teams to synchronise planning efforts resolve scheduling issues and provide status updates.
Order Review & Delivery Commitments: Assess incoming sales orders and confirm feasible delivery dates. Support in tracking project and product contracts and assist with cost estimation.
Repairs Scheduling: Approve and plan customer repair work ensuring capacity and turnaround times are well managed.
Issue Resolution: Identify potential delays or bottlenecks in production and implement corrective actions to maintain workflow efficiency.
Reporting: Compile and analyse reports on production performance providing insights to help drive improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining operations reducing costs and enhancing product quality.
What Were Looking For:
Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering Business Administration or equivalent handson industry experience.
Experience: 23 years experience in a similar production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with planning systems and Microsoft Office particularly Excel. Experience with ERP software is highly advantageous.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data forecast accurately and make informed decisions to support production efficiency.
Process Knowledge: Familiar with manufacturing processes and lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
Communication: Clear and confident communicator capable of building strong working relationships across multiple departments.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organisation when managing schedules and monitoring output.
ProblemSolving: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and delivering effective practical solutions.
