Job Description

General Summary of Position Responsibility:

The Dir Research Data Products will determine and oversee delivery of the strategy and roadmap for their products to achieve research outcomes. Their responsibilities include coordinating with researchers senior leadership Information Management and other research stakeholders to set priorities manage new development and operations and provide direction and oversight to product teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a deep understanding of research outcomes business goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations.
  • Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders and research leaders to shape the product strategy and surface and prioritize needs.
  • Lead product strategy planning and life cycle management efforts.
  • Monitor research and innovation trends to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions.
  • Establish product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve research and innovation outcomes.
  • Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements.
  • Determine internal and contract/external resources and skills required for the product team to deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Guide the product engineering team to scope plan and deliver work applying established delivery methodologies (e.g. agile methods) and best practices (e.g. reusability).
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers to achieve objectives for the product including technical and resourcing challenges.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate financial research and Information management standards (e.g. architecture compliance security).
  • Increase adoption and consumption of product capabilities.
  • Serve as product director for multiple related products.
  • Define track and communicate relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to patient outcomes and business goals and strategy.

Product Focus

Experience with healthcare research operations and management. Knowledge of automation best practices and experience with building AI and Digital products.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Masters degree required.
  • Minimum of seven years of product management or related experience.
  • Background in healthcare is required. Strong preference for previous experience building analytics products.
  • Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to surface prioritize and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience determining and overseeing project development initiatives and estimating resource requirements.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills including experience leveraging data to inform decisionmaking and independently solving data engineering problems.
  • Expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
  • Strong experience in understanding clinical partner and stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and building products.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

Pay Range

$135200.00$218483.20 Salary

At Lurie Childrens we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity reflecting individual contributions experience and expertise. The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.In addition to base salary Lurie Childrens offer a comprehensive rewards package that may include differentials for some hourly employees leadership incentivesfor select roles health and retirement benefits and wellbeing programs.
