Plan implement and evaluate business and administrative operations assigned practice(s) including staffing supporting operating and budgeting ensuring that appropriate facilities and resources are available to support anticipated patient care and delivery needs. Working together with the Operating Room (OR) the Manager Business Operations Central Surgical and Procedural Scheduling is responsible for developing modifying and overseeing the comprehensive daily schedule for surgical procedures in alignment with the distinct needs of various surgical specialties and locations. Serving as the primary liaison the Central Surgical and Procedural Scheduling Manager and team handle all communication with surgical clinics managing requests for scheduling surgeries making adjustments to surgery dates processing cancellations accommodating inpatient surgical additions and addressing any inquiries pertaining to the OR Schedule for all cases across all locations. Identify opportunities for improvement processes to ensure cases are scheduled at the best location to meet and serve our patients needs maximize throughput. Work collaboratively with our service line leaders to ensure timely access and proactive problem solving.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least five 5 years of scheduling experience in a highvolume hospital setting
At least five 5 years of management experience.
Demonstrated experience with business operations data analysis and management and quality/process improvement.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Demonstrating the ability to collaborate with different teams or departments to achieve common goals showcases proficient communication and teamwork skills. This could involve coordinating efforts between departments on a project leading interdepartmental meetings or serving on crossfunctional teams.
Project Management: Experience in managing projects from start to finish and demonstrates organizational and leadership skills. This could involve work with projects with our OpTime team and EMR design case request improvement work scheduling improvement work.
Preferred
Masters Degree in Business Administration or Nursing or related field.
Experience scheduling surgical cases.
Experience working in an academic setting.
Compensation Range
$104797.00 $157195.00 per yearSalary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on fulltime employment 2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
