The Opportunity:
The Assistant Director of Acute Care Operations provides effective leadership to North Central Health Cares (NCHC) three counties acute behavioral health services. The position provides the operational oversight of programs in partnership with the Assistant Director of Acute Care Clinical Services and reports to the Director of Acute Care Services. The Assistant Director supports alignment with internal behavioral health services Outpatient Services Adult Protective Services and Community Treatment to support the overall organizational goals.
Programs include:
- Crisis Center 24/7 response
- Youth and Adult Crisis Stabilization Facilities
- Youth and Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospitals
- Residential 28 day medically monitored treatment recovery program
- NCHC Sober Living Homes
The pay range for this role is $98500 to $107500 based on education and experience. This job is a fulltime in person position.

What Youll Do:
Broad:
- Responsible for the operational coordination and oversight of Acute Care Services delivered by the Crisis Center Crisis Stabilization Facilities Behavioral Hospitals Lakeside Recovery 28 day medically monitored recovery program and sober living homes.
- Ensures daily operations staffs performance to deliver high standards of care.
- Instrumental in evaluating operational efficiencies and managing resources to maximize NCHCs ability to excel in our provision of core behavioral health services to our most vulnerable populations.
- Ensures department is compliant with contractual or regulatory standards and requirements for behavioral health services.
- Partners with Learning and Development and program leadership to ensure inservice training and education to all acute care services operational personnel.
Financial:
- Responsible for aligning operational performance to meet revenue projections.
- Responsible for grant application implementation and reporting with the support of the Director.
- Monitors expenses and revenues with the support of the Finance Department including action as appropriate to correct budget variances.
Quality Assurance:
- Develops operational quality benchmarks and measures and acts as the liaison for quality improvement processes in partnership with the Quality Program.
- Aligns operations staffs performance with quality assurance initiatives and process improvement.
- Leads the remediation process for patient and client satisfaction and complaint issues and incident reports
- Supports the collection of clinical data needed for program surveys and grant reporting.
- Leads operational aspects readiness for surveys and compliance with regulations.
- Overseas evaluates and recommends adjustments to program policies and procedures and monitors operational performance.
Crisis Response:
- Participates in management of emergency codes to ensure patient safety and staff security assisting and utilizing trained Crisis Prevention Institute deescalation and physical restraint techniques with teammates as necessary.
- Responsible for implementation of safety and security procedures training and support of operational staff in collaboration with internal partner programs.
Supervisor:
- Supports the professional development of operational staff and managers and builds effective teams
- Provides supervision to operations managers including performance monitoring and appraisals and participation in hiring and personnel issues.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other workrelated tasks as required as assigned.
What You Bring:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in administration or Human Services or Behavioral Health focus from an accredited college or university.
- Three or more years progressively responsible leadership and management roles or applicable clinical experience
Preferred:
- Leadership in Behavioral Health Programs.
- Proficiency in documentation of services provided in an Electronic Medical Record
- Masters degree in administration or Human Services or Behavioral Health focus from an accredited college or university.
