Kearney Public Schools is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers for theschool year.
Serve in schools as a substitute teacher on an asneeded basis when the contract teacher is absent. Daily rate of pay for full day is $150/Day. Teaching or Substitute Teaching Certificate required. (Local certificate is $142/Day).

Kearney Public Schools Substitute Teachers must hold a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate. The Certificate may bea Teaching certificate or a Substitute Teaching certificate.
The online Substitute application through TalentEd Recruit & Hire must becompleted to be considered for substituting.
New substitute applicants those who have been designatedinactive (longer than one year) and those who have never substituted for Kearney Public Schools will be required to complete preemployment background screenings.
Once the background checks have been completedwith the appropriateagencies and the candidate receives clearance for employment a substituteonboarding will be scheduledwith Human Resources. All substitute applicants will be requiredto schedule and attend an employee oonboardingbefore entering the classroom as a substitute.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
