Job Description
Responsibilities
The Orthopaedic ClinicatDartmouthHitchcock Manchesteris seeking a highly motivatedPhysician Associate (PA) with experience and advanced training in Orthopaedics.Nurse Practitioners (NP)with First Assist will also be considered for this position. Working with the Orthopaedics team the APP will be involved in patient care primarily in the outpatient clinic but also in the OR and performing inpatient room responsibilities will include thesurgical firstassist role. This is a fulltime day position with minimal call responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides continuous collaborative and comprehensive advanced care
- Performs specified procedures
- Communicates with various specialty medical services and support professional services.
- Participates in and performs patient triage and initiates appropriate treatment
- Implements routine preventive care.
- Implements and optimizes analgesia.
- Coordinates the discharge process.
- Documents patient status by entering admission transfer progress and procedure notes.
- Coordinates rehabilitation with consultant therapists including but not limited to physical therapists occupational therapists and speech therapists.

Required Licensure/Certifications
- Requirements for Experienced Nurse Practitioners: RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in NH. Must be RNFA certified.
- Requirements for Experienced Physician Assistant: Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physicians Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Masters level required.
