Job Description

Position Overview

Ensure the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Observe users of public swimming pool and provide rescue assitance as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

*Current high school student or high school graduate.
*Must possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
*Must possess a current CPR Certification.
*Knowledge of pool safety.
*Knowledge of how to prevent accidents and how to react if there is an accident.
*Ability to swim for long distances minimum 500 yards and with great strength.
*Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
*Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
*Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
*Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
*Ability to positively interact with the general public.
