Job Description
The Manager of Investor Relations will be responsible for providing support across fundraising investor servicing and other key initiatives in the private equity groups private funds. The individual will interact with all levels of the private equity organization including senior leadership and investment professionals along with colleagues across the other Brookfield platforms.
The successful candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong financial mindset who can adapt to a fastpaced environment offer innovative solutions and has proven verbal and written communication skills. The role will report to the Vice President.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key point of contact for existing and prospective private fund investors regarding financial information fund performance portfolio company updates and RFIs
Develop financial and operational analyses to support strategic messaging to investors
Crisply and effectively articulate Brookfields private equity strategy to stakeholders including new transaction activity as well as ongoing portfolio updates
Actively engage in the formulation of key messaging to the market and be an effective communicator of this messaging both verbally and in written format
Plan recurring and adhoc investor meetings including Brookfields annual private funds investor conference and all related materials
Support the preparation of key fundraising deliverables for the private equity group
Assist with organizing and managing coinvestment syndication activities
Execute on strategic initiatives within the group
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in business accounting or finance
CPA and/or CFA designation preferred
4 years of experience in any of the following disciplines: capital markets investment banking accounting equity research corporate development investor relations transaction services
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)
A solid understanding of financial reporting and valuation models; knowledge of private equity investment structures is preferred
Experience with Salesforce and FISDX (Sungard) is preferred
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization
Ability to work in a dynamic fastpaced global environment with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines
Analytic and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations
Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
Team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Selfmotivated and proactive; ability to work in an unstructured environment
