Become a licensed Lifeguard and come make a splash on the island! All American Red Cross Trainings included after passing swim test prerequisite and hired for one of our Lifeguard roles!
Aquatic Attraction Guard:
Total compensation with incentive $14.50 per hour. Base rate $13.00 per hour earn an additional $1.50 an hour if you work 16 or more hours each pay week!Pay incentive starts 01/6/2025 through 06/04/2025.
Lifeguard:
Total compensation with incentive $16.50 per hour. Base rate $15.25 per hour earn an additional $1.25 an hour if you work 16 or more hours each pay week!Pay incentive starts 01/6/2025 through 06/04/2025.
What you get to do:
Roll up your sleeves (if you have sleeves) and play a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable guest experience. In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress youll greet and interact with guests answer questions and resolve guest issues. You will:
- Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines
Warn guests of dangerous water activities
Prevent and respond to guest emergencies
Administer first aid
Participate in scheduled inservice training and regular audits
Be proficient in park knowledge water rescue CPR/AED and First Aid Skills
- Monitor all park waterways and respond to guests in distress
- Maintain the cleanliness of your area
- Participate in American Red Cross and company audit processes
- Attend inservice meetings and crosstrain to work in other park areas
- Practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
What it takes to succeed:
- At least 18 years old
- Must successfully pass prerequisite swim test
- Must successfully pass the company provided and paid American Red Cross CPR/AED
- Must successfully pass one of the following lifeguarding certifications: Aquatic Attraction Attendant 05ft) Deep Water Lifeguard 5ft plus)
- You must pass regular swim tests and inservice/safety audits
- You must be comfortable in and around water
- You must be comfortable with heights (high tower slides)
- You must be able to work varied schedules including nights weekends and holidays
- Exceptional communication multitasking and interpersonal skills are essential
