Job Description
Provide psychoeducational assessments of students with disabilities while collaborating with staff students and parents toprovide support and direct services for students with disabilities who are experiencing emotional/behavioral problems.
- Administer indepth psychoeducational assessments to students referred to special education
- Interpret data from assessments and write reports for students referred to special education
- Consult with parents concerning the behavioral needs of their student
- Provide behavioral strategies to staff concerning their students
- Serve as a member of ARD committees in developing behavioral strategies
- Provide psychological consultations
- Provide staff development
- Follow all Federal and State guidelines policies and laws RRISD Board Policy and the Texas Educator Code of Ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to administer and report on indepth psychoeducational assessments
Knowledge of diagnostic procedures education of special education students human development & learning theories
Ability to interpret data and solve problems of different complexities
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
be able to complete theSchool Psychologist internship in one year 202 days). TSBEP Board Rule 465.38 4 Document all activities and hours of the internship in combination with supervisor signatures in accordance with program and Board requirements.
