Position Summary Bancroft School seeks a Lower School Early Years Classroom Teacher who will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for students. This role will plan and deliver instructional lessons that align with the curriculum assess student progress communicate with parents/guardians and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the academic and socioemotional development of each student.
- Plan and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the educational needs of lower elementary aged students.
- Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies resources and technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of student attendance academic performance and behavioral incidents.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress behavior and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues administrators and support staff to coordinate instruction share best practices and promote a positive school culture.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends research and best practices.
- Adhere to school policies procedures and expectations including those related to classroom management safety and confidentiality.
- Serve as a positive role model for students demonstrating professionalism integrity and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification appropriate for the grade level and subject area preferred.
- Prior experience teaching at the lower elementary level.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development educational theory and best practices in instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with students parents/guardians and colleagues.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction and classroom management.
- Commitment to fostering a safe supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
