Physical Education Teacher
Washington Elementary
1.0 FTE Continuing Contract
*Beginning 202526 School Year*
DESCRIPTION:Teach general and adaptive physical education to students K5. The ability to relate to elementary students. Plan implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with building and district curriculum and related standards. Report pupil progress to parents. Support programs and building/district inservice education building/district meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington State Certification with appropriate elementary physical education endorsement. Elementary P.E. teaching experience preferred. An understanding of state P.E. standards and the progression of learning for elementary P.E. The ability to plan for and work with our youngest students and those students with selfcontained special education needs. A working knowledge of positive behavior supports is preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability and desire to work within a district/building professional learning community. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
