AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The Amazon Aurora Platform team focuses on building scalable control plane services and patterns to support the rapid growth of Aurora.

Aurora is a distributed faulttolerant database service leveraging a selfhealing storage system that autoscales up to 128TB it performs up to five times faster than standard MySQL databases and three times faster than standard PostgreSQL databases.

The Amazon Aurora Platform team focuses on building scalable services and tools to support the rapid growth of Aurora. As SDE (L5 on the team you will design and implement services and intelligent tooling to allow Amazon Aurora to scale faster with emphasis on safety deployment velocity and operational effectiveness.

We are looking for Software Development Engineer who have built a lot of software shipped products and created platforms tools and modules. You should be passionate about optimizing the software development experience at a very large scale using your strong technical skills and motivation to achieve results. You are naturally enthusiastic about learning new technologies and industry trends and are excited by the idea of solving hard technical challenges!

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
