Job Description

Associate Program Manager HVAC Energy Efficiency
Location: Northern NJ candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to New Jersey to be considered

To support our growth we are currently seeking a HVAC Energy Efficiency Associate Program Manager for our Utility Programs and Services (UPS) division to lead and grow ICFs energy efficiency programs in New Jersey. You will lead the development and management of our HVAC Midstream energy efficiency program build relationships with clients mentor junior team members design/implement program strategies and plans as well as develop and execute marketing and recruiting strategies.

What you will be doing:

  • Program design including identification analysis and selection of appropriate energy efficiency measures and development of effective delivery strategies
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with major local regional and national market partners through inperson and virtual interactions
  • Engage market partners through the application process
  • Program implementation including development and of detailed and effective implementation and management plans quality control or program evaluation
  • Manage program forecasts goals and budgets along with providing regulatory support
  • Analyzing market trends and technologies to optimize existing programs
  • Collaborating with regional and national teams
  • Daytoday management of program team members contractors and distributors
  • Building and maintaining relationships while driving businesses towards the implementation of energy performance improvements through the use of existing market knowledge and proven energy efficient technologies
  • Goal achievement and reporting of results to clients
  • Required local travel within New Jersey up to 30 of the time for client meetings trade ally meetings conferences and other events

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Energy Resources Sciences Policy Business or related discipline (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 3 years of experience developing designing and administering successful energy efficiency and demand reduction programs for utilities state energy offices state/local governments and/or regional nonprofits and/or related experience
  • 1 year(s) professional experience with HVAC technologies and trade allies

What we would like you to have (preferred qualifications):

  • Familiarity with HVAC and heat pump technologies
  • Experience with the energy efficiency market in New Jersey
  • Knowledge of local laws and NJ residential and commercial building and energy conservation codes
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies
  • Ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively
  • Previous experience managing junior staff
  • MS Office Applications (Word PowerPoint Outlook Excel)

Pay Range There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on fulltime employment is:

$88817.00 $150989.00
