IT Manager
GCVS is a growing Massachusetts public virtual school that offers our teachers and staff members the excitement of exploring innovative pathways in education. Daily our talented teachers and staff experience the impact they make on the lives of our students.
GCVS is dedicated to providing topquality learning experience for students and educators. Technology plays a vital role in our mission and we are looking for a skilled IT Manager to oversee our IT infrastructure support digital learning initiatives and ensure seamless tech operations.
The IT Manager will report directly to the Director of Technology.
As an IT MANAGER you will:
- Manage and maintain IT systems networks and security across the institution
- Support and enhance educational technology including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools
- Ensure data security student privacy and compliance with education technology standards
- Provide technical support and training for faculty staff and students
- Lead IT projects such as system upgrades cloud integration cybersecurity initiatives and integrating new tools.
- Collaborate with staff to optimize technology use in teaching and administration
- Thrive in a collaborative environment where innovation meets education
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven Experience as an IT management or leadership preferably in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of networks cybersecurity and cloudbased solutions
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and EdTech tools
- Ability to manage IT budgets projects and vendor relationships
- Excellent problemsolving leadership and communication skills
- Certifications such as Google Certified Educator ITIL or CompTIA are a plus
