Nature of position: Permanent Full Time
Location: VIC Ferntree Gully
Reporting Line: Business Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects from start to finish ensuring all project outcomes (time cost scope safety quality) are met
Define and control project scope to ensure clear goals and expectations
Develop and maintain realistic and achievable schedules monitoring progress and adjusting as needed
Track project performance review regularly and implement contingency plans when necessary
Ensure clear communication and timely project reporting to all stakeholders
Oversee procurement activities and manage head/subcontractor contract administration
Keep accurate records that demonstrate fulfilment of all contractual obligations
Ensure work quality aligns with internal systems and customer requirements
Manage daytoday site operations ensuring safety timely delivery and quality standards are maintained
Approve timesheets manage resourcing and administrative tasks for the field team
Oversee fleet plant and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations
Engage and manage subcontractors efficiently using company systems
Build strong relationships with clients and ensure high client satisfaction
Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Managers on financial performance and project
Continuously improve project delivery systems and processes for better results
About You:
5 years experience in the power industry specifically in civil overhead or fibre construction/maintenance projects
Relevant qualification in Civil/Electrical Engineering or equivalent or trade qualification
Strong understanding of project management principles and contract administration
Indepth knowledge of power distribution networks processes and procedures and familiarity with client systems
Experienced in managing people and subcontractors in a live environment
Focused on delivering highquality work while prioritising safety and client outcomes
Excellent organisational communication and leadership skills
Proficient in project management software and MS Office
Strong understanding of construction site tools equipment and work structures
Ability to take full accountability for all project functions and outcomes
Knowledge of Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards with the ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure legislative compliance
