Job Description
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for students.
- Contribute to student wellbeing and overall academic success.
- Fulltime 1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
- Base salary range: $74450$79085 p.a. plus 17 superannuation.
About the area
The division of Student Wellbeing and Engagement facilitates a highquality student experience through the provision of integrated and comprehensive services. The division is responsible for the delivery of the UWA Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework and the UWA Safe Respectful and Inclusive Communities Framework. Student Wellbeing and Engagement has five broad areas tertiary prevention through the Complex Case Management team; early intervention cohort initiatives and timely access to low barrier services through the Student Wellbeing team; counselling through the Psychology team; Grand Challenges and the provision of a contemporary onboarding experience through the Student Engagement team; and primary prevention programs and clinical response to genderbased violence through the Safe and Respectful Communities team.
About the opportunity
- You will provide a professional welcoming and efficient reception service to UWA students staff and external stakeholders seeking to access the programs and services provided by Student Wellbeing and Engagement.
- Assist with appointment bookings and administrative tasks associated with Student Wellbeing and Engagement teams and projects.
- Liaise with other areas of the University applying a sound knowledge of Student Wellbeing and Engagement programs and ensuring the effective dissemination and tracking of relevant information.
About you
- Year 12 or equivalent competency.
- Considerable relevant customer service and administrative experience at an appropriate level.
- High level of proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing spreadsheets databases web content management and email.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information.
Special Requirements
- A current National Police Clearance Certificate
- Working with Children Check.
