Job Description
Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers were seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients oral health. If youre looking for a fastpaced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities this is the perfect position for you!
This is a fulltime traveling position Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1hour lunch break. Regular travel is required between our Dadeland location 7300 N Kendall Dr #110 Miami FL 33156 and our Coral Springs location 2365 N University Dr Coral Springs FL 33065. A valid EFDA and XRay certification is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms sterilize instruments and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and posttreatment care
- Support dentists during procedures anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred but were willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
Requirements:
Before applying it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.
- Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose Xrays.
- Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose Xrays (including FDOH Permit to expose Xrays).
- Georgia: CPR Certification Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose Xrays.
- Massachusetts: CPR Certification proof of formal training to expose Xrays BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
- Michigan: Upon hiring you are required to furnish evidence of Xray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring you are granted an 8week period to submit it.
- New Jersey: Proof of Xray training.
- New York: Not applicable.
- Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose Xrays (including FDOH Permit to Expose Xrays)
- Texas: CPR Certification TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
