Senior Staff Technical Program Manager

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to our R&D Operations team.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff & Head of Ops for R&D youll be responsible for driving successful delivery of strategic programs in support of our most complex and critical needs and act as a key thought leader to grow and shape our R&D program management practice at Sprout.

What youll do:

• Develop and execute program strategy roadmap and timeline that align with our business objectives and key stakeholder needs
• Lead the of highimpact crossfunctional programs from initiation through delivery including program setup planning resource alignment risk and issue management decisionmaking and progress reporting. Oversee scope budget and resource utilization to help us measure ROI and ensure efficient .
• Confidently partner with executive leaders and stakeholders across engineering product design GTM and platform teams. Build trusted relationships to effectively drive decision making prioritization and wellpaced .
• Build and continuously improve frameworks that define and refine how we work in R&D on largescale programs ensuring they are scalable effective and easy for teams to adopt and apply.
• Help shape our Program Management function in R&D.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• 10 years of experience working in software organizations in Engineering Program Management or Technical Program Management roles
• Proven track record of leading largescale highimpact crossfunctional technical programs
• Experience in highgrowth SaaS environments

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect daytoday to broader business objectives
• Skilled at navigating ambiguity and bringing clarity and focus to teams
• Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills
• Experience using Atlassian products (Jira Confluence) Google Suite (Docs Slides Sheets) Mixpanel and Tableau

How youll grow

Within 1 month youll plant your roots including:

• Completing Sprout Socials new hire training and onboarding alongside fellow new team members to gain a broad understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.
• Partnering with your manager to define success metrics for your role and how youll be measured.
• Exploring our products to understand what makes our software unique and why customers love it.
• Building relationships across product engineering design and GTM teams.

Within 3 months youll start hitting your stride by:

• Developing a clear understanding of our business objectives and the strategies driving R&D.
• Taking ownership of a major crossfunctional program working closely with product design and engineering partners to manage dependencies and drive .
• Asking the right questions to align teams on decisions and priorities surfacing risks and blockers and maintaining momentum through strong communication.
• Identifying opportunities to improve how we collaborate and operate across functions.

Within 6 months youll be making a clear impact through:

• Becoming the goto lead for one or more complex crossfunctional programs ensuring alignment to strategy clear ownership and forward progress.
• Contributing to more predictable roadmap delivery across teams.
• Creating and sharing frameworks that bring structure and clarity and seeing them adopted beyond your immediate team.
• Helping us better understand and plan for dependencies and longterm capacity across multiyear efforts.

Within 12 months youll make this role your own by:

• Acting as a thought partner to R&D leadership helping shape what great program management looks like at Sprout.

Individual base pay is based on various factors including work location relevant experience and skills the responsibility of the role and job duties/requirements. In the United States we have two geographic pay zones. For this role our current base pay ranges for new hires are:

• Zone 1 (New York California Washington): $205480 (min) $256900 (mid) $308220 (max) USD annually
• Zone 2 (All other US states): $186800 (min) $233500 (mid) $280200 (max) USD annually

The listed ranges represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for wellqualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a marketbased compensation approach; we used data from trusted thirdparty compensation sources to set equitable consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation biannually identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employees total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprouts equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical dental vision basic life accidental death and dismemberment insurance and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprouts companys 401k plan in which Sprout will match 50 of your contributions up to 6 with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers Flexible Paid Time Off and ten paid holidays.
