Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Aquatics this position is the lead for daytoday operations relating to the utilization and use of LMU Burns Recreation Centers Aquatic Facility. Promote the safety convenience and enjoyment of users. The Aquatic Pool Manager will participate in the development of programs daily and monthly pool programs. Leading various aquatic activities and maintenance.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Aquatics the Aquatic Pool Manager will assist with the hiring training testing and certification of temporary staff and student employees of the facility; assist with the development and implementation of various aquatic programs; and ensure that all appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained and communicate every detail with the Aquatic Supervisor. Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week including weekends and holidays.

Requisite Qualifications
Typically a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instruction Certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience of managing an aquatic facility with swim lessons or 1 summer managing the pool with Swim camps.
Ability to multitask and be able to handle a fast paced sometimes stressful environment.
Excellent communication skills verbal and written. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to serve as a role model for student employees.
Knowledge of water hazards pool safety lifesaving techniques and first aid; principles and techniques of swimming and lifesaving; and appropriate safety precautions and procedures
