Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the proper handling cleaning disinfecting sterilization and assembly of instrumentation and patientrelated equipment to render them safe for handling and use; monitor order and stock supplies for the department; complete regular cleaning of the sterile processing and supply areas; and to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework in Sterile Processing or equivalent Sterile Processing Technician experience
- Graduate of an accredited Sterilization Tech program.
- Certification in sterilization
- Current CSPDT from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtained within one year from hire date
