Summary
Provide students with appropriate inperson and distance or virtual instruction in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning
Strong knowledge of Internet and webrelated technology
Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with student parents and colleagues
Ability to support students with computer setup navigation and technology issues
Experience:
Student teaching approved internship or related work experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Strategies
- Develop and implement lesson plans for inperson distance and virtual learning that fulfill the requirements of districts curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in individual student differences.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials equipment and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of student assigned and present subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency board policies and administrative regulations.
- Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
- Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals objectives and methods according to district requirements.
- Plan and assign work to instructional aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.
Student Growth and Development
- Provide timely feedback to students and track progress through a variety of methods.
- Conduct ongoing assessment and feedback related to student achievement through formal and informal methods.
- Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
- Be a positive role model for students and support the goals of the campus and school district.
Classroom Management and Organization
- Create an inperson and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Assist in selecting books equipment and other instructional materials.
- Compile maintain and file all reports records and other documents required.
Communication
- Be available by phone email or video conferencing to confer with district personnel students and/or parents.
- Communicate with students or parents on a regular basis via phone or video conference email or districtapproved website.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents students colleagues and community members.
Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in staff development activities to improve jobrelated skills.
- Comply with state district and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Certificates Licenses Registration

Ability to effectively present information and responds to questions from administrators peers students parents and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Varsity Head Volleyball Coach
PRIMARY PURPOSE:Under the direct supervision of the Campus Athletic Coordinator
and the general supervision of the building Principal the Volleyball coach will supervise and coordinate the implementation of the volleyball program in the high school and correspondingfeeder schools with a focus on program development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree
Experience: Three years Varsity experience and/or training.
High School Head Volleyball Coach Experience Perferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Instruction
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned
- Manage and supervise athletic activities contests and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills teamwork and good sportsmanship
- Work with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational development of student athletes Program Management
- Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis
- Take all necessary precautions to protect student athletes equipment materials and facilities
- Keep informed of and ensure compliance with all UIL rules
- Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation
- Work with the Athletic Coordinator and Athletic Director to schedule competitions and coordinate arrangements
- Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of the coaching program and make changes based on findings Student Management
- Accompany and supervise student athletes during athletic competitions in assigned sports on outoftown trips
- Instruct and advise students on NCAA regulations with regard to academic requirements for scholarships and recruiting practices.
- Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests practice sessions and while on trips off school property in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook
- Encourage by example and through instruction sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation Communication
- Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents students principals and teachers Administration
- Assist in selection of equipment and instructional materials
- Compile maintain and file all physical and computerized reports records and other documents required
- Maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within program
- Oversee process of cleaning repairing and storing all campus athletic equipment
- Plan organize and implement the teaching of fundamentals strategies rules and proper conditioning of the game
- Plan and coordinate Volleyball schedules and in preparing weekly game reports
- Conduct weekly grade checks on all powerlifters
- Plan and coordinate Volleyball awards
- Comply with district policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations
- Adhere to the districts safety policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in the conduct of district business
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of walking and interacting with students and/or district employees in the specific work site assigned (classroom or office setting)
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
