Role Overview
Globant is searching for a motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote role you will leverage your expertise in data engineering to drive impactful projects across various industries. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform tools.
- Collaborate with product and analytics teams to comprehend data needs and translate them into cuttingedge data solutions.
- Enable seamless data integration transformation and migration to facilitate enhanced analytics processes across the organization.
- Ensure data accuracy reliability and accessibility by optimizing data workflows.
- Continuously innovate and maintain our data infrastructure adhering to data governance and security best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members promoting a culture of learning and excellence.
Skills Required
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on cloudbased data platforms.
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform including services such as BigQuery Dataflow and Pub/Sub.
- Extensive knowledge of data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python Java or SQL.
- Experience handling large datasets and utilizing storage solutions such as Google Cloud Storage and Firestore.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and a collaborative mindset in a teamoriented setting.
- Fluent in English preferably at a B2 level or higher to communicate effectively with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with big data tools and frameworks like Apache Spark Hadoop or Kafka.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of deploying machine learning models in datacentric environments.
- A knack for identifying datadriven optimizations and implementing solutionoriented approaches.
