Who Are We Looking For
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to take ownership of design leadership and coordination for major infrastructure and energy projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in civil and structural engineering within engineering construction or oil & gas environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams contractors and clients to ensure safe timely and costeffective of engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate civil/structural engineering activities across all project phases.
Prepare and review technical documentation including drawings reports datasheets and calculations.
Oversee and verify subcontractor and vendor designs for compliance with company and client standards.
Resolve engineering issues from conceptual design through to commissioning.
Ensure project consistency and quality using approved engineering procedures.
Monitor contractor performance and recommend improvements for schedule and quality.
Participate in HAZOPs and critical design reviews.
Organize technical meetings with contractors and stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges.
Review fabrication and construction drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Engage in material takeoffs (MTO) scheduling and procurement planning.
Ensure adherence to safety environmental and regulatory standards in design and .
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and emerging professionals.
Capture and apply lessons learned across projects to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelors degree ./. or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years postgraduation experience including at least 6 years in engineering construction or maintenance and 3 years in a senior or lead engineering position.
Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles construction methods and materials.
Proficient in CAD and engineering analysis software.
Solid problemsolving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PC literate with proficiency in MS Windows Excel and Office tools.
NSE/COREN registration preferred.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
