Job Description:

The University of Florida invites applications for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2025 in the School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education (SHDOSE) within the College of Education. This is a fulltime twelvemonth timelimited nontenureaccruing position. We seek an enthusiastic dedicated and innovative educator to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence in education. The successful candidate will contribute to our innovative programs and support the development of future educators and psychologists. The candidate will contribute to our Schools instructional enterprise by teaching highquality courses in educational psychology and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (online and facetoface) in Educational Psychology (emphasis on Cognitive and Developmental psychology)
  • Supervise and mentor graduate teaching assistants and adjunct faculty
  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program assessment
  • Engage in service activities within the College and community
  • Engage in teaching mentoring and fostering a supportive learning environment

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in educational psychology or closely related field
  • Teaching experience in higher education setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven excellence in teaching and supervision in higher education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student success
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Experience teaching cognitive and/or developmental psychology courses facetoface and online
  • Record of scholarly publications or presentations
  • Involvement in professional organizations and conferences
