The opportunity test update

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced and passionate community support worker (Care Aide) to join Silver Chain Group within the Palliative Care Service. As a Care Aide within Palliative Care Service we would like you to have the availability to work a minimum of 36 hours per fortnight (Sat/Sun and Monday) between the hours of 8.00am 5.00pm. Please note this role will be based out of Kingsley and you will have some flexibility to work across our other service centres of Maddington and Bertram.

Key Responsibilities test update

Our Care Aides deliver exceptional care and support to our clients enhancing and encouraging their ability to participate in their own care to maintain their independence. Responsibilities can include skin care toileting general hygiene grooming dressing fitting and removal of pressure stockings mobility fluid intake feeding meal preparation respite and assisting with medication. Support may also be required with general housekeeping social support and basic first aid.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care Individual Support HACC or Disability
  • Experience working in the community as a Care Aide Support Worker is desirable
  • Have experience within Palliative Care is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Current motor vehicle drivers licence (with no restrictions) and access to a reliable registered motor vehicle with a minimum of third party insurance.
