Job Description
Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated special educator to join the team at BrewsterPierce Memorial School (BPMS). Nestled in a closeknit community BPMS is a small studentcentered school where strong relationships and a warm welcoming environment foster meaningful learning and growth. We are deeply rooted in our community and committed to supporting every child.
The successful candidate should have a strong background in elementary special education strategies and enjoy working as part of a creative hardworking team. Strengths must include the ability to build and foster positive rapport with students and families effective communication curriculum modification as well as comfort with special education rules and regulations. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of best practices when providing individualized and group instruction in literacy and math MultiTiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL).OrtonGillingham certified perferred or willing to get certified.
Candidates should also have the following.
Active Vermont Special Educator License
Experience in behavioral management techniques/interventions
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
