The Department of Administration Division of Finance is recruiting for aPayroll Services SupervisorinJuneau!

What You Will Be Doing:

This position is responsible for managing the personnel and payroll functions of the Public Protection Technical Service Center. Its main duties include overseeing a team that ensures the timely and accurate submission of payroll leave and personnel actions in accordance with established rules and regulations.

Any combination of preparatory postsecondary education and/or progressively responsible experience in payroll services human resource management business administration supporting management in running an organization/enterprise or supporting professionals working in human resources (such as recruitment payroll classification and compensation employee and labormanagement relations employer provided benefit programs employment law compliance or employee training).

Typically gained by means the prevalent usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.

Training and education in this guidance are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction. It includes instruction through formal and informal methods (such as classroom online selfstudy and onthejob) from accredited and unaccredited sources and longduration (such as a postsecondary degree) and shortduration (such as a seminar) programs.

Progressively responsible means indicating growth and/or advancement in complexity difficulty or level of responsibility.

Human resource includes experience in recruitment and selection classification employee training employer provided benefits programs employment law compliance personnel payroll processing or system administration or labor relations. Supervision of subordinates does not in itself constitute human resource work.
