Job Description
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights The Customer Service Security Application Security team seeks an innovative and resultsdriven Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. In this role you will transform data into actionable insights leveraging cuttingedge data products to drive highimpact security decisions. Youll dive deep in our data identify root causes and think ahead to uncover new patterns and opportunities. Collaborating closely with security engineers and software development engineers you will use data to guide the resolution of security issues.

Key job responsibilities
1. Develop robust extensible and scalable Business Intelligence solutions for security problems.
2. Create and refine data strategies making technical tradeoff decisions for short and longterm requirements.
3. Bridge communication between business and engineering teams to provide actionable insights into business performance.
4. Conduct adhoc investigations to support future improvements and innovations.
5. Gather and manipulate data solve problems and communicate insights and recommendations clearly.
6. Write highquality SQL queries and Python code to retrieve and analyze data efficiently.
7. Build compelling data visualizations that illustrate business trends patterns and outliers.
8. Stay current with BI tools technologies and best practices to continually improve solutions.
About the team
The Customer Service Security Application Security team provides proactive security guidance and support to an Amazon business unit. We address security early in the software development lifecycle by providing guardrails and paved paths. We also bridge gaps between application security and software engineering by advocating for secure coding standards automating processes and developing reusable security solutions leveraged companywide. We stay ahead through continuous research into emerging threats and adoption of new techniques and best practices. 3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R SAS and Matlab
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with largescale complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
