recruiting for a fulltimeProtective Service Specialist 4 located in
Anchorage Alaska.

You will provide vital resources and support for children who have been victims of abuse and neglect while also supporting professionals to work in a collaborative effective and compassionate work environment.
You will contribute to the safety and wellbeing of Alaskas children and families.
You will develop strong partnerships with Tribes Community Service Providers law enforcement mental health and medical practitioners victim advocates and forensic interviewers.
You will have the opportunity to coach and develop a team of Protective Services Specialists who are responsible for investigating and assessing reports of child abuse and neglect while following the agencys practice model.
You will be provided coaching and supervision to facilitate your own growth as a supervisor and will have opportunities for professional advancement.
You will have a voice in influencing change within OCS.

All positions require a valid Alaska drivers license and successful completion of a background investigation including fingerprinting and a criminal records check.
Additionally while the Division does have vehicles assigned to it they may not always be available for staff use. Mileage reimbursement is available when a personal vehicle is used for workrelated matters. Current automotive insurance must be in place prior to use of a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the State.
For positions in this job class a child protective history check will be performed per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315 including a background and fingerprint check.
The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.
