NOTE: Lowerlevel accounting classes may be taken at a twoyear community college if the units are transferable to a fouryear college or university.

What can you do if you do not attach the documents when filingIf you are a veteran you may be eligible for veterans credit which is an additional 10 of the total points added to a passing score. We will need a copy of your form DD214 to review so please include that with your application or email it to the exam analyst at within seven 7 calendar days from the end of filing period.
We do not accept passwordprotected documents. Ensure documents are unlocked before attaching to your application or sending to the exam analyst.
Endorsement of County Qualifications:If you performed work that differs from the duties described in your class specification and believe you qualify for this opportunity please provide verification via official documentation of additional responsibility bonus outofclass bonus temporary assignment bonus or reclassification study with CEO Classification within seven 7 calendar days from the last day of filing. Employees do not need to submit such verification if they hold or have held a position that regularly performs functions in alignment with the requirements.
Once we have identified that you meet the requirements an invitation regarding the following assessment processes will be sent:

Candidates may be invited to participate in both Part I and II. However only those who achieve a passing score of 70 or higher in Part I will have Part II scored.
Part II: Multiple choice and/or simulation assessment(s) worth 50 assessing:
Accounts Payable: Purchase Orders Invoices and Claims and Expense Vouchers.
Account Receivable: Invoice Processing Cheque and Cash Receipts Aging Report and Vendor Registrations
Microsoft Excel 365*: Basic Text and Cell Formatting Visual Improvements Using Functions and Formulas Printing an Excel Workbook Applying Passwords and Encryption to an Excel Workbook Conditional Formatting and Charts and Data Tables
The passing score for each weighted assessment part is 70.
Multiple choice and/or simulation assessments are not reviewable by candidates per Civil Service Rule 7.19.
Scores cannot be given over the telephone.
Transfer of test components:If you have taken identical components recently for other exams your responses may be automatically transferred to this examination. This exam contains test components that might be used on future exams and your responses could be transferred to that exam.
Test preparation:We provide study guides and other test preparation resources to help prepare for employment tests. While the guides may help in preparing for the test we recommend reviewing all related materials that seem necessary.
The names of candidates receiving a passing grade in the examination will be placed on the eligible list in the order of their score group for a period of six 6 months.
Vacancy information:The eligible list resulting from this examination will be used to fill vacancies throughout Los Angeles County as they occur.
