Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager is a key position within the Home Protection Business Operations & Controls team and will have responsibilities covering the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the full business footprint. The position will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of Lean Agile and Change Management methodologies and the supporting framework to deliver business optimization and transformation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- To identify and deliver service improvement activity across Home Protection through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
- To work with key business stakeholders and other SMEs creating a culture of Change Champions to build a continuous improvement environment to support multiple simultaneous business change programs
- To lead and facilitate Lean/process improvementbased workshops to drive ideas and solutions
- To identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system; development of a bestinclass continuous improvement strategy
- To take ownership of change initiatives from identification of initial need through to project delivery via established internal governance and controls
- To elicit requirements and drive process change using colleague interviews document analysis requirements workshops surveys business process descriptions business analysis and workflow analysis
- To provide coaching and other guidance on Agile practices to internal teams ensuring compliance with methodology processes
- To work with business colleagues and functional partners to devise new support material based on revised processes; work collaboratively with Learning & Development Planning & Performance Planning and Services IT on the development and deployment of new support materials
- To actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems or change management engagement opportunities and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
- To ensure the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified reported on and managed at all times
- To complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements are made in future projects
Working Conditions:
Hybrid home/office work environment
- Travel infrequent but must be open to supporting inperson events should it be required based on environmental factors and local and company health guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
- Accredited in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferably Black Belt and Change Management Prosci/Change Guides or equivalent recognized certifications
- Bachelors degree in a complementary field or 5 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role including project management and business analysis
- Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including value stream mapping customer journey mapping process documentation etc.
- Ability to set up facilitate and lead service improvement workshops with a range of business stakeholders and SMEs
- Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools bringing new ideas and processes to the role
- A Finisher taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
- Experience with handson implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions
- Experience with designing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency issues with track record of following through to ensure closure
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of business leaders senior managers and subject matter experts
- Strong analytical project and product management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
- Experience with the whole project lifecycle; able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage into the depths of systems testing to final deployment with change support
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years working in a geographically distributed team
- Experience in project management and Agile methodologies
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related certification preferred or direct experience being part of a project management team within an Agile methodology environment
- Experience as a proven leader with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Professional certifications in more than one discipline
Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to evaluate data strategies and materials to provide recommendations
