Summer Program dates are June 9 2025 July 25 2025 Monday through Friday excluding Holidays.
Training dates are June 2 6 2025 various times and locations.
Demonstrates quality leadership by stimulating interest in the recreation leaders and aides for whom they are responsible. Directors will be actively involved with planning instructing daily curriculum and all recreational activities with leaders and aides. Directors will be a positive role model in mentoring staff; enforce applicable program rules and regulations; and perform other related duties as required.
Training & Experience: 1 Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in elementary education physical education or recreation or 2 any equivalent combination of training and experience in youth programming. (Present or submit evidence of training or experience e.g. official transcript diploma or resume with references.
TB Clearance: (Prior to Interview)
Vehicle & License Requirement: Must have a vehicle and a valid motor vehicle drivers license (equivalent to State of Hawaii Type 3.

EXAMINATIONS ARE ADMINISTERED IN THE COUNTY OF MAUl ONLY
The above examination is being given on an opencompetitive basis to establish an eligible list which shall be effective for not more than one year unless extended by the Director of Personnel Services.
