Job Summary:

Work Schedule: Mon Fri daytime hours 12 month position
Provides effective leadership in developing conducting and ongoing assessment of the clinical education programs.
Aligns didactic laboratory and clinical education opportunities.
Trains and assesses clinical instructors and preceptors.
Teaches didactic and laboratory classes in collaboration with the Program Director & other faculty.
Communicates with Program Director and Program Advisory Board to ensure the program is in line with the CoARC standards.
Serves on departmental college and university committees as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director and Dean of Health Professions.
Depending on education level achieved and clinical/instructional experience other academic ranks may be considered. Masters degree preferred Bachelors degree will be considered. At least 2 years previous teaching experience is required including clinical teaching.

Education
- The Assistant Professor position requires a Masters degree in the field obtained from a regionally accredited program. Individuals with a Masters degree in a related field may be appointed where a Masters degree in the primary area of teaching is extremely limited or impossible to attain. Experience
- Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. No prior scholarship or service activity is required. Where appropriate Nebraska licensure and national certifications are required. For additional information please refer to the Nebraska Methodist College Employee Handbook.
- For NMC RespiratoryAS: A minimum of 4 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care required.
- For NMC RespiratoryAS: A minimum of 2 years experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARCaccredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs required.
License/Certifications
- Where appropriate Nebraska licensure and national certifications are required of faculty employed at Nebraska Methodist College.
