Job Description
We are currently seeking a creative and goaloriented marketing professional with a passion for books to manage title marketing campaigns under the direction of the Executive Director of Marketing. Dutton is a boutique imprint that publishes both fiction and nonfiction bestselling authors includingLisa GardnerTami HoagFiona DavisRiley Sager Jonathan Tropper Sean CarrollNick OffermanCraig UngerDrew BarrymoreandAlex Kershaw among many others.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conceive develop and execute analyticsdriven and resultsoriented marketing campaigns for assigned titles
- Interface with authors about best practices for marketing their booksand provide regular updates on marketing efforts on behalf on specific titles
- Strategize with other members of the marketing department to create and execute imprint social media and web content strategy
- Develop content for campaigns that includes sell sheets for reps and accounts social media post copy and copy for consumer facing promotions
- Collaborate with fellow marketers publicists our corporate marketing team and creative marketing services (design team) to develop campaigns and timelines create content visuals and consumer buzz opportunities and update dept resources
- Track and record campaign performance and monitor sales and metrics associated with activities when possible

- Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience in publishing
- Strong project management skills
- Creative ideagenerator and problem solving abilities
- Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate clearly confidently and professionally
- Familiarity with and activity on social media platforms including Facebook Twitter Instagram
- Attentive to detail with strong multitasking and coordination abilities
- Interest across a range of genres
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and online cloud tools like Google Drive and Dropbox
