Job Summary/Description:

First Alert 7 the toprated longtime news leader in OdessaMidland TX is looking for a Meteorologist to join our news team and forecast during our weekend shows. Youll be responsible for monitoring weather channels and forecasting. Youll also work with our weather team on social media content. Youll have the chance to learn about broadcast news from an awardwinning team of journalists.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Forecast for West Texas viewing areas in at least one show per day.
Work with the Chief Meteorologist on graphics
Create social media content about meteorology/West Texas weather patterns
Maintain weather pages on firstalert7 and the First Alert 7 weather app.
Learn to produce environmental content for shows learn to produce content.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Broadcast television experience preferred.
