Job Description

Scanlan International Inc. is a medical device company specializing in the highestquality surgical instruments. Now in our fourth generation the Scanlan family continues its dedication to providing the best surgical instrumentation available anywhere in the world.

This position will be located at our headquarters in St. Paul Minnesota. Travel expectations are at least 50 up to 70 domestic.

The Vice President of North America Sales is responsible for overseeing company sales activities across North America. This role provides strategic leadership to the domestic sales organization develops the overall sales strategy and operational plans and ensures sales compensation incentives are aligned with business goals and objectives. The VP will implement processes that drive revenue growth and achieve financial objectives. The VP will oversee goalsetting processes for the sales organization using data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes identify issues and enhance performance.

The VP directs and coaches five regional Sales Managers overseeing sales plans and activities within their regions. The VP is responsible for handling strategic or highvalue sales negotiations and managing overall performance. Additionally the VP ensures that the Inside Sales Manager and Sales Operations Manager effectively lead their teams optimize sales processes and support the achievement of sales targets.

This position will work with others across the organization to create capabilities that effectively analyze the business environment identify and understand competitors and retain and expand the customer base. The VP will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify market needs and innovate new products. Additionally the VP will build effective sales and support teams to ensure appropriate field staff levels training and development programs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

40 Lead and manage sales operations for North America.

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth across all product lines.

Achieve or exceed annual sales targets.

Develop and manage sales compensation incentives aligned with business goals.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including opinion leaders and customers.

Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans for current and future products.

Contribute to strategic planning and business development as a key member of the executive team.

Set and review sales quotas and goals for the North American sales team.

Provide regular performance reports to the President/CEO.

20 Oversee goalsetting and performance monitoring.

Use data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes.

Identify issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reporting tools.

15 Collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Work with other departments to analyze market trends and competitive dynamics.

Identify market needs and innovate new products.

Participate in crossfunctional teams to drive business growth.

15 Build and develop highperforming sales teams.

Recruit train and develop sales staff.

Ensure appropriate field staff levels and support.

Implement training and development programs.

Manage sales expenses effectively.

10 Participate in strategic or highvalue sales negotiations.

Lead or support negotiations for key accounts and highvalue sales.

Manage overall distributor performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field.

Experience:

10 years of sales experience in the medical/surgical industries; preferably in cardiac vascular and/or thoracic surgical/medical products

5 years of experience in sales/marketing management including hiring team building performance reviews and training.

Experience in hospital operating room product sales with an emphasis on surgeon and RN coordinator engagement.

Skills:

Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative teamoriented culture.

Experience selling highperformance specialized products.

Strong leadership and teambuilding skills across all organizational levels.

Proactive resultsdriven and handson management style.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Proficient in using sales and business software (e.g. CRM Microsoft Office).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strategic thinker with strong planning and implementation abilities.

Willingness to conduct domestic travel 50 to 70

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $178800 to 286200 plus an annual incentive bonus.
