Job Summary:
The Division of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has a fulltime 1.0 FTE) faculty position available at the rank of Instructor for a Pediatric General Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Under the direction of the fulltime faculty or designee this position provides inpatient and outpatient medical care services at Childrens Hospital Colorado (CHCO).
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services for all areas of Pediatric General Surgery including the Trauma Acute Care Surgery (TACS) Service Pediatric Specialty Service (PSS) and rotate through the outpatient surgery clinic at Childrens Hospital Colorado (CHCO). Duties will include primarily inpatient responsibilities such as rounding writing orders/progress notes consults discharge patient assessment patient education care coordination disease management and minor procedures. Close collaboration with pediatric general surgeons subspecialty surgeons emergency medicine physicians intensivists residents/fellows and hospital staff will be necessary. Professional interaction with referring physicians and staff emergency medical personnel and primary care providers is essential. The candidate will provide care to patients in the pediatric intensive care unit acute care areas and in the outpatient clinics. The work schedule may include up to 13hr shifts evenings nights weekends and holidays.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range or hiring range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$107058 to $144851 for 1.0 FTE. 25 shift differential added to all night weekend and holiday shifts.
The above salary range or hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is nonexempt.
