Specialist Nurse SACT (Bank)

Bank Shifts
Salary Up to 25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for aSpecialist Nurseto join their team of staff in theOncologydepartment.
This is a bank roleworking on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver safe highquality evidencebased care within your area of specialism acting as a clinical expert and role model.
- Support assessment diagnosis treatment planning and ongoing management of patients with complex or longterm conditions.
- Provide education support and counselling to patients and families empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
- Act as a resource for education and clinical development within your specialty.
- Work collaboratively with consultants oncologists allied health professionals and other nursing colleagues to support integrated patientcentred care.
- Lead or support audits patient feedback initiatives and quality improvement programmes related to your specialist area.
- Maintain accurate timely and comprehensive clinical records.
- Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult Child or Mental Health depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant postregistration experience in the relevant specialty area.
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to develop or already hold SACT passport and or SACT post graduate degree
- Oncology/Haematology experience essential
