JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Custodial Director or assigned Lead Custodian the position will perform the daytoday custodial duties and operations of the building. The position will be expected and required to follow all applicable assigned duties policies and procedures as defined by the District and Department. This position reports to the Director of Custodial Services.

A personworkingin this position will work in a variety of work environments both inside and outside with occasional exposure to inclement weather. The Position requires continual walking standing climbing stooping bending kneeling reaching and heavy lifting of more than 50 pounds and carrying. This person may be required to work in restricted spaces from a prone position and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise level may be high when operating power equipment. Employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY:
As outlined by and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of Mead Classified Public Employees Association (MCPEA) and Policies and Procedures of Mead School District. The salary range for the position is: Min $21.50 Max $21.50. New Hires Salary placement will be at step 1 on the appropriate scale for the position unless otherwise noted within the contract.
A typical work year consists of 260 days which includes 13 paid holidays. Each employee shall accumulate twelve 12 days of sick leave per year. An employee employed less than a full work year shall be entitled to a proportionate part of the sick leave allowance. A maximum of three 3 days of annual leave are provided for all employees based on the employees scheduled employment hours per day to be used for an absence during work hours or to be accumulated for the purpose of cash out.
Employees anticipated to work more than 630 hours per year will be eligible for Benefits through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Standard benefits include Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance and LongTerm Disability. Positions anticipated to work 70 hours or more per month for at least 5 months over a 12month period are eligible for Retirement through the State Department of Retirement Services.
