Saint Louis University a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning research healthcare and service seeks applicants for a fulltime tenuretrack faculty position in Family and Community Medicine beginning as soon as the position is filled. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor is preferred though candidates at the Assistant Professor with at least 2 years of experience and full Professor level will be accepted for review. We seek a PhD or MD with a strong track record in research and scholarship in the fields of family medicine or primary care health services with research interests in one or more of the following: behavioral health substance abuse pain management trauma access to care comparative effectiveness collaborative care clinical epidemiology or patient centered outcomes is sought. This faculty position fully funded for 3 years will be expected to develop an independent research program covering about 50 of their effort through external grant funding lecture in the School of Medicine mentor faculty residents and students in their research (parttime clinical time for MD applicants) and contribute to supporting other activities in the Division of Research as needed. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple research projects conduct data analysis and supervise support staff is preferred. A strong publication record and experience as a funded principal investigator is strongly desired. Although there are no regular teaching assignments for this position periodic lectures will be required. Current funded projects representing partial salary support is desired though research faculty are not required to cover 100 of salary from grants.
